Daniel B. Hurwitz, MBA
Dan Hurwitz launched CFO Ala Carte in 2009, with more than 25 years of experience in public accounting and industry. Dan began his career with Arthur Anderson & Co., and practiced as a public accountant for 11 years, before entering industry.
Since then, Dan has served as CFO in companies ranging in revenue from start-up to $60 million. These companies include National Genetics Institute, Pathology Consultants Medical Group and Specialty Laboratories. Additionally, Dan has served as Consulting Financial Director for Balance Pharmaceuticals and Hammock Entertainment, and Executive Corporate Accountant for Creative Artist Agency.
Dan earned a BA in Biology at the University of California, San Diego and an MBA in Accounting at San Diego State University. Dan is a CPA with an inactive license in the State of California.
Through this background, Dan has gained a breath of experience allowing him to offer services part-time or on a project basis to a range of businesses either not currently employing a full-time CFO, or requiring augmentation of CFO level applications.
